Checking OneDrive Status Steps:
- click on the OneDrive Cloud Icon (
) in the Notification Tray
- If the list of files that pop up show a status of uploading and the progress bar has not moved in at least 30 minutes, you will need to reset OneDrive:

The above screenshot is a great example of stuck uploads that won’t fix themselves until your drive is checked for errors.
How To Check Drive For Errors:
- Right click on the Windows Button and select Windows Powershell (Admin)
- Once in there you will get a blue box. In the box, type chkdsk /f c: and press Enter
- You will then be prompted to check the drive the next time the system restarts. Press Y then Enter.


- Restart your computer
- Once you restart, you will see the disk check run. Once completed and you’ve signed back in to Windows, perform the OneDrive Reset Procedure
Resetting OneDrive:
- Open a Run dialog by pressing Windows key Press the Windows key and R.
- Copy this and paste it into the dialog window then press OK
%localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset
- If you see a "Windows cannot find..." message, copy and paste this instead, then press OK and enter in the following instead:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset
- Manually restart OneDrive by going to Start
- Press the Windows key,
- Type OneDrive in the search box
- then click on the OneDrive desktop app.
